Free Photoshop?

Adobe has announced that they are going to deliver a free on-line version of their popular software. Of course it wont be fully featured, but it is still and interesting corporate move.
I think that this is part of the reason why Adobe acquired Macromedia, since Macromedia’s expertise on web must of been very important for Adobe to take this approach.
It is just another example of how the “google way of doing things” is changing the map for computer and software vendors.
It seems quite obvious that boxed paid software will be a hard road to travel on today’s world where you can access free equivalents on-line everywhere.
I’ll watch the case closely. I wonder if a company like Adobe can boost the type of creativity seen on Google’s developments.
